Welcome to the first ICS3U contest of the 2020-2021 school year!

These contests are NOT mandatory and are NOT for marks. However, these contests may be used as material on your portfolio. You also do not need to complete all the problems if you decide to join the contest.

Technical Skills Needed:

• Output via System.out & knowledge of escape sequences
• Input via Scanner or BufferedReader
• Knowledge of if statements
• Knowledge of .equals String function
• Knowledge of for and/or while loops
• Knowledge of advanced String methods (.charAt, .substring, etc.)

Parameters of the contest:

• Not rated
• Scoreboard will be hidden
• Contest Duration: 9 AM Monday to 6 PM Friday
• No time or first time full AC bonuses
• Number of problems: 3
