Mackenzie's 2019-2020 Moose Contests

posted on Oct. 5, 2019, 5:00 p.m.

Mark your calendars, because you MOOSEn’t forget about MCPT’s MOOSE contest that is coming up!

The MOOSE contest is an awesome way to have fun problem-solving with your friends, while brushing up on your computer skills. Every skill level is welcome and it’s up to you to decide which division of the contest you would like to compete in: junior or senior.

There will be five competitions held throughout the school year, with the first contest on October 16, 2019. It will start at 9:00 am and end at 6:00 pm, but it’s up to you to decide when you would like to begin your contest within the time frame. Once you start, you will be given two and a half hours; however, please note that if you start the contest after 3:30 pm, it will end before your two and a half hours pass.

Registration is now open for all schools until 5:00pm on October 11, 2019! To find more information about the contest and register, visit: https://mcpt.ca/moose/

How many problems, are they in order of difficulty, and are they full-feedback? Thanks!

Also are the problems the same as LCC?

5 problems, full feedback. Senior is slightly easier than CCC senior, junior is around the difficulty of CCC junior. The problems are the same as the LCC.

Sorry, I meant to ask if the problems are sorted by their difficulty? Thanks again
