Due to recent developments with COVID-19, Girls Invitational 2020 is postponed until further notice.

Prepare yourselves, girls... because MCPT's fourth annual Girls Programming Invitational is right around the corner!

On April 14, 2020, William Lyon Mackenzie C.I. will be opening its doors to all female programming enthusiasts from all around Toronto. The Mackenzie's Girls Programming Invitational aims not only to provide girls with a competitive environment in which they can refine their coding skills, but also an opportunity to meet and learn from other female programmers. This competition consisting of five programming problems with three hours to solve helps build confidence and critical thinking in an inclusive and welcoming environment.

The Girls Programming Invitational allows students to participate in one of two difficulty levels:
Junior and Senior. The Junior level, generally for grades 9 and 10, is recommended for girls relatively new at competitive programming. The Senior level provides much more challenging problems similar to those of distinguished programming competitions such as ECOO and is recommended for more experienced programmers.
